PHLP Navigators Helping Connect People to COVID Testing and Treatment
PHLP has hired an outreach and community navigator to ensure that low-income and marginalized Pennsylvanians have equitable access to COVID-19 testing and treatment. As COVID-19 continues to infect individuals across the state of Pennsylvania, Black communities are among the hardest hit. PHLP is committed to ensuring these vulnerable populations have the resources available to them to know where to get tested and where to go for treatment if they test positive. Right now, our navigator is working with federally qualified health centers in the Harrisburg and York areas and establishing relationships with testing sites and community partners to provide comprehensive resources. We will also be reaching out into the Lehigh Valley and Reading areas soon.
