PHLP Navigators Continue Helping Connect People to COVID-19 Testing & Treatment
Since July, PHLP navigators have been working to identify marginalized communities struggling to get tested and treated for COVID-19, investigating the availability of testing and treatment, targeting outreach efforts to these communities to increase awareness of testing and treatment options, and helping individuals in these communities connect to COVID-19 related services.
As COVID-19 case rates continue to rise across the state, our navigators are participating in outreach events, both virtually and socially distanced, with community partners including state senators and state representatives. On November 5th, Philatinos Radio is hosting PHLP, Puentes de Salud, and Community Legal Services for a Facebook livestream conversation on COVID testing, treatment access, and employment-related concerns (see flyers below). We will also be hosting a town hall on November 12th with partners in Allegheny County for a discussion on COVID testing in the region. Additionally, we are in the process of creating written resources and short videos regarding COVID testing and treatment for both the insured and uninsured.
If you have any issues with getting tested for COVID-19 or have received a bill, call our Helpline at 1-800-274-3258.
