Meet our Team: Janice Meinert

Janice Meinert is a paralegal in PHLP's Pittsburgh office. 

Janice is a master’s level social worker and has been with PHLP for over 20 years!  Her expertise focuses on access to behavioral health services for PHLP’s clients. She has authored The Many Doors to Consumer Empowerment and How to Obtain Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Services in Pennsylvania. 

Janice is honored to be a part of the dedicated and compassionate PHLP team and is an avid supporter of quality and accessible health care for all.

What aspect of our mission do you most connect with?:  Helping Pennsylvanians access healthcare and navigating the complicated Medicaid system.

What has been your proudest moment at PHLP?: I can't say that there has been any one single proudest moment. I have always been proud, honored and humbled to be a part of an outstanding organization with such dedicated, compassionate, smart colleagues. Everyone at PHLP gives so much of themselves for the benefit of others.

What is your personal motto or mantra?: I often borrow my younger brother's motto: 'Go high or go home'. I like how it can apply to so many different situations.

Share a fun fact about yourself: I love finding or creating personalized gifts for family and friends. It brings me a lot of joy to give a special or unique gift.
