DHS Launches We Can Work Campaign

The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) recently launched the We Can Work campaign to educate the public about employment support and opportunities for people with disabilities, and the DHS’ programs that can facilitate job connections and training programs.  The We Can Work website includes information about how people with disabilities can qualify for Medicaid, employment supports, and additional employment resources.  There are many resources Medicaid recipients can utilize to work without losing their benefits, including benefits counseling, Medical Assistance for Workers with Disabilities (MAWD), and the PA ABLE Savings Program.  

In addition, the campaign shares stories of people who are employed while still receiving DHS services and supports (e.g., Medicaid).  Ads are running on social media through early summer.
