The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) announced on in October that the Bureau of Autism Services (BAS) will change its name to the Bureau of Supports for Autism and Special Populations (BSASP). BSASP will continue to operate within ODP.
In addition to continuing to support the needs of Pennsylvanians with Autism Spectrum disorder, BSASP has expanded its mission and scope; the progam will now include a Special Populations Unit that focuses on supporting individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind.
